We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Coder. As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately assigning appropriate medical codes to patient records in order to ensure proper billing and reimbursement. This is an entry-level position ideal for recent graduates or individuals with mínimal experience in medical coding.

**Job Role and Responsibilities**:

- **Coding Accuracy**: Review and analyze patient medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services performed.
- **Compliance**: Ensure coding compliance with established coding guidelines, regulations, and policies.
- **Data Entry**: Enter coded information into the electronic health records system with precision and attention to detail.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding.
- **Quality Assurance**: Participate in regular quality assurance audits to maintain coding accuracy and compliance standards.
- **Education and Training**: Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations; participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- **Confidentiality**: Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.

Qualifications:

- Educational background in medical coding or related field.
- Certification in medical coding (Not mandatory)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
