**What will you do?**

Work closely with the Engineering & Product Development teams to take various components and subsystems of the products to production.

Engage deeply with a set of vendors and suppliers to develop necessary capabilities, at the same time create new opportunities of finding the parts available at the best price.

**Responsibilities**:
As a member of the Strategic Sourcing team, your job is to deliver the timeline, cost and quality of all things Exponent. Key activities:

- Drive feature improvements, and key business metrics like cost, timeline, and quality, by enabling the discovery and selection of correct bought-out parts.
- Influence the direction of Exponent Energy's product roadmap by incorporating the next generation of off-the-shelf components.
- Ensuring that the team has access to the latest components by building supplier partnerships and having insights on their capabilities.

**Requirements**:

- Understanding or past experience in product development or sourcing.
- Ability to develop & evaluate proposals independently with suppliers & component manufacturers
- Good communication and negotiation skills and the zeal to get things done.
- Prior experience in sourcing critical components from suppliers in China/Korea/Japan
