Join us as a Scrum Master, AVP
- We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master, AVP, to drive a culture of continuous improvement
- You’ll make sure that your team lives by the values of Scrum, empowering them to become high performing to increase the quality of delivery
- Hone your project skills as you work in a collaborative and innovative environment, with access to the bank's Agile community, experts and events

**What you'll do**:
This role will see you coaching and guiding your team to perform at their highest level and at a sustainable pace. You’ll also remove any impediments to progress, facilitate meetings and protect the team from outside influences or distractions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Making sure the Scrum team understands Agile practices, the Scrum framework and values
- Transforming the Scrum team to become self-organising to reduce management overhead costs, using techniques, such as Lean thinking
- Acting as the process owner for the team and maintaining relationships with the project's key stakeholders
- Creating a great place to work with a culture of safety and continuous improvement, through great people leadership and skill development
- Working with the product owner to make sure that the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint.

**The skills you'll need**:
You'll need at least ten years of IT experience in mainframe project delivery, with a sound knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices, along with hands-on experience of successful Scrum adoption, DevOps and associated toolsets.

We'll also expect you to have knowledge of creating epics and user stories, Agile estimation techniques, backlog management, value slicing, burn down metrics and velocity. A Scrum Master or SAFe certification would also be advantageous.

We'll look to you to demonstrate:

- Experience in people management in Agile teams, servant leadership facilitation and situational awareness
- An understanding of conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and stakeholder management
- Experience of release-based delivery models and leading Scrum teams for the development of large-scale projects, programmes and transformations
- Knowledge of modern development practices, like test-driven development, continuous integration and DevOps tools, like JIRA, Confluence and CI/CD
