**Job Overview**:
As an Operations Executive handling appointment-based deliveries to modern retail, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the efficient and timely delivery of goods to retail stores in alignment with scheduled appointments. You will ensure seamless communication with internal teams, logistics partners, and retail outlets to ensure the on-time delivery of products in accordance with agreed-upon time slots.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Delivery Coordination**:
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries to modern retail stores, ensuring they are made within the agreed time windows.
- Work closely with logistics providers and drivers to ensure appointments are met and goods are delivered accurately.
- **Communication and Stakeholder Management**:
- Act as the point of contact for both retail clients and internal teams for any appointment-related queries or issues.
- Maintain proactive communication with store managers to confirm delivery slots, address concerns, and provide updates on the delivery status.
- **Order Tracking and Management**:
- Monitor real-time progress of deliveries, ensuring accurate tracking and timely resolution of any delays or issues.
- Utilize delivery management software or tools to track and update order statuses, and prepare delivery performance reports.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Ensure all required documents (proof of delivery, invoices, receipts) are properly filled out and maintained for all deliveries.
- Prepare regular reports on delivery performance, highlighting any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- **Problem Resolution**:
- Handle any delivery-related problems, including delayed shipments, incorrect deliveries, or inventory shortages.
- Work closely with warehouse teams and logistics providers to resolve any logístical challenges that may arise.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure that the correct products are dispatched for each delivery, avoiding discrepancies and ensuring retail orders are fulfilled correctly.
- **Customer Satisfaction**:
- Ensure the highest level of service for retail clients by consistently meeting delivery timelines and addressing concerns promptly.
- Resolve customer complaints related to deliveries in a professional and customer-focused manner.
- **Compliance and Safety**:
- Ensure all deliveries comply with safety standards and legal regulations for transportation and distribution.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to company policies, especially in terms of handling and delivering goods.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 1-3 years in supply chain, logistics, or retail operations, with a focus on delivery coordination or customer service in the retail industry.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with delivery management systems, ERP software, and basic MS Office tools (Excel, Word).
- **Communication**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong ability to think critically and resolve logístical issues promptly.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of attention to detail to manage multiple deliveries and appointments accurately.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Experience working with modern retail chains.
- Knowledge of appointment-based delivery models and customer requirements in retail.
- Familiarity with route optimization and logistics technology tools.
