Tripura, India Swaniti Initiative Full time

**About the organization:
Swaniti is a decade-old organization working in the space of policy-making and public service delivery. Our projects have been focused on supporting the government administration in strategizing scheme implementation, providing research support to Hon’ble Members of Parliament, and developing data-technology tools. With flagship initiatives like Supporting Parliamentarians in Analysis and Research in Constituencies (SPARC) and Leadership and Engagement Associate in District (LEAD), Swaniti has supported Constituency Development and District Development Planning in various parts of the country. At present, along with working with 100+ Hon'ble Members of Parliamentarians for policy-making, we are working with several state and district governments providing technical assistance to ensure the delivery of schemes to the last mile. Major verticals of our work are Climate and Sustainability, Social Protection, Policy Engagements, Technology, and Rural Livelihood & Governance.

**Overview of the project**:The project is focused towards creating a culture of tech and people-enabled feedback systems in the northeastern states of India. Through a bottom-up planning approach, we will assess the current state of implementation of schemes and locate bottlenecks in the delivery of public services under various schemes. The project requires extensive surveying and interviewing of beneficiaries and local governance officials to recognize exclusion and leakages. Following the assessment study, the team will attempt to translate feedback into action by introducing a tech-based solution in the implementation of government schemes. Eventually, the project will establish a sturdy governance model across the northeastern states by reforming the systems and processes, thereby leading to enhanced inclusion, access, and resilience of public service delivery.

**Job Summary**:Swaniti Initiative is looking for an enthusiastic, curious, empathetic, and action-oriented professional, who is eager to contribute to the government system by providing inputs on the basis of extensive primary and secondary research, inter-governmental department liaising, and help implement locally suited interventions. The work will be centered around a primary survey, need assessment, situation analysis, data analysis, brainstorming with relevant stakeholders, and collaborating with the local bodies, and allied departments of the state government. The team member will be a resource person to several departments of the government and will report directly to the Project Manager of Swaniti Initiative. The position provides a tremendous opportunity to get exposure to multiple domains while working with the allied departments of the government.
