We are seeking a skilled and dedicated **Tandoor Commi Chef** to join our dynamic kitchen team at a fine-dining restaurant in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will specialize in operating the tandoor, preparing traditional and authentic Indian dishes such as tandoori meats, naan, and other tandoor-baked specialties. If you have a passion for Indian cuisine and a flair for tandoor cooking, this is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop your culinary skills in an upscale dining environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using the tandoor**, including tandoori meats (chicken, lamb, fish), naan, and other traditional baked specialties.
- Ensure that all tandoor-cooked dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Assist in the **preparation of marinated meats** and dough for naan, ensuring they are ready for cooking in the tandoor.
- Maintain proper **cleanliness and hygiene** in the tandoor area, ensuring the tandoor is properly cleaned and maintained after each use.
- **Work closely with senior chefs** to ensure that tandoor dishes are cooked efficiently and delivered in a timely manner during service.
**Requirements**:
- **Previous experience as a Commi Chef** or in a similar role, with a focus on tandoor cooking or Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge and experience in **operating a tandoor** and cooking traditional tandoori dishes.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a **fast-paced kitchen** environment, especially during high-pressure service hours.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to follow recipes and instructions closely to maintain consistency in dish quality.
