**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care**: Provide direct, compassionate, and comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing necessary interventions.
- **Monitoring and Assessment**: Continuously assess patient conditions and responses to treatment; adjust care plans as needed and report significant changes to the medical team.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- **Patient and Family Education**: Educate patients and their families about care plans, procedures, and health management to ensure understanding and involvement in care decisions.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies, including code blue situations, and provide critical care as needed.
- **Compliance and Safety**: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, including infection control and safety standards.
- **Advocacy**: Advocate for patient needs and preferences, ensuring ethical and quality care delivery.
