**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Administration**: Manage and maintain Oracle databases to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance. Implement and oversee database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases.
- **Data Guard Management**: Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard for database replication and failover processes. Monitor and optimize the performance of Data Guard setups.
- **Backup and Recovery**: Utilize RMAN for efficient backup strategies and perform recovery tasks. Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery and data loss prevention strategies are in place.
- **Real Application Clusters (RAC)**: Deploy and manage Oracle RAC environments to ensure continuous database availability and scalability. Troubleshoot and optimize RAC configurations.
- **Database Lifecycle Management**: Oversee the entire lifecycle of database environments from development to decommissioning. Ensure best practices and compliance with organizational standards.
- **Performance Tuning**: Monitor database systems to identify performance bottlenecks. Implement tuning measures to enhance database performance.
- **Security Management**: Implement robust security measures to protect data integrity and privacy. Regularly update database security protocols to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain detailed documentation for database architectures, configurations, and procedures. Generate regular reports on database status and health.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong background in Data Guard, RMAN, RAC, and DBLM.
- **Certifications**: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher is preferred.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL, understanding of Oracle database design, knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows), and familiarity with scripting languages.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bengaluru Vishwavidyalaya, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
