FULL-TIME US HOURS

**Responsibilities**:
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL databases on all operating systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. - Proactively monitor database performance using tools such as Spotlight, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system efficiency. - Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters. - Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data within the databases, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments. - Investigate and resolve database-related issues promptly, using advanced troubleshooting techniques and collaborating with relevant teams to implement effective solutions. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices, and generate reports on database performance and utilization as required. - Provide as-needed support for escalated items from helpdesk. - Familiarity with basic database administration including backups, restores, security, and file storage. - Work cross-functionally with the different teams: dev team, customer support, product management, and others. - Participate in systems implementation projects (requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution).

**Requirements**:
Technical-related Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three to five years of progressive experience in related disciplines in lieu of education - 3+ years of progressive experience in SQL Server and systems administration for small to medium enterprise level companies - Experience database administration including backups, restores, security, and file storage - Experience administering SQL Server 2012 or newer and strong understanding of SQL database concepts and querying - Skilled in Windows Server 2012 or later including Windows Server Core Versions - Self-starter attitude, combined with the ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking with mínimal supervision - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
