Piping Checker

**5-8 years of experience piping people is required, to Review and Verification**:

- Conduct detailed checks of piping drawings, layouts, and isometric drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with design specifications and engineering standards.
- Verify that piping designs meet industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI) and align with project requirements.
- Review material take-offs (MTOs), bills of materials (BOMs), and piping specifications to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- **Quality Control**:

- Identify and correct any design inconsistencies, errors, or clashes in the piping drawings and models.
- Ensure quality control by conducting thorough inspections of piping components and assemblies.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of inspections, checks, and any discrepancies identified during the review process.
- Provide detailed reports and feedback to the piping design team, offering corrective suggestions as necessary.
- **Coordination and Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the piping design team, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs are feasible, efficient, and compliant.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., structural, mechanical) to resolve any interferences or issues in the design.
- **3D Model and Software Review**:

- Use specialized software, such as AutoCAD, PDS, PDMS, or SmartPlant, to review 3D piping models, identifying and resolving conflicts in the layout.
- Conduct model reviews and provide feedback for the improvement of the 3D layout and clash-free piping routes.

**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- **Education**: Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- **Experience**: Typically requires 5+ years of experience in piping design, with specific expertise in piping checking.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS), familiarity with ASME, ANSI, and other relevant codes and standards.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct errors in design.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively report issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

**Additional Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of piping systems, construction methods, and industry safety standards.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
