**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- Terminal Service configuration. Server RDP access to be provided through PIM based on SOP
- Capacity Reporting with recommendations. Setting up and configuring servers as per Customer Standards
- File Server Management
- Shared folder creation / modification / removal
- Shared folder access review
- SFTP creation and management
- Disk space management
- Data archival (as per defined backup policy of FG)
- DFS Management
- Backup and restoration
- Sample restoration (monthly)
- Maintain the DEV/ UAT & Production servers in separate
VLAN with the restricted access in cross environment.
- Review the server inventory & server access with Owners
in six months
- Backup/ DR should be considered while creating the new
production server
- Mission critical servers to be configure in high availability
to avoid single point of failure for new build requests.
- Configure and maintain print servers and print queues
- Maintain and administer DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, DFS roots, and
group policy
- Restore server operating system in the event of a crash using
backup tools as provided by customer or proposed as part of
solution
- Resolve server problems like system hang, hard disk crash, with
OEM support wherever required

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Windows and VM ware Administration with 5-7 years of experience. Server installation as per process (Physical & Virtual)
- Server de-missioning as per process (Physical & Virtual)
- Server base line configuration and management
- Server privilege access review
- Server capacity management based on Utilisation reports
for CPU/Memory/HDD
- Server availability management
- Server patch management
- Server endpoint security management
- Server scheduled task/jobs management
- Server event log management retention & backup
- Server audit log management for incident
troubleshooting

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Perform periodic system performance tuning as per Customer’s policy
- Perform periodic schedule maintenance activity including, if required, restart of the systems limited to 10 server setup requests per month.

- Commented [SS1]: Data disposal under file server is deleted because, the FG user is the custodian for his own data and Kyndryl will not take responsibility to delete the same. However, LUN Creation deletion will be part of the storage administration tasks and will be covered based on SR from customer.
- Commented [SS2]: The Tracking of Software licenses is part of software asset management. This activity must be performed by FG’s asset management team.
Kyndryl NOC will not perform the SAM activity. Appropriate set of tools (multiple as per products/OEM) and SAM admin is required to perform this job.
- Commented [SS3R2]: DC Asset management is included. End User assets are excluded as mentioned in the Exclusions
be included in monitoring and BAU management, through a PCR and it will be charged as per the given monitoring and management rate-card on prorate basis. Billing will be on quarterly basis in the subsequent quarter bill. Re-Installation of the server operating system and operating
system utilities in case of System crash.
- Manage Operating system, file system and configuration
- Analysis of event and logs in case of any major incident using syslog
- Periodically view and clean up log files for proactive actions required
- Conduct hardening of the operating systems as per agreed policy with Customer
