**Position Title**:Staff Acct I Legal Entity**
**Job Location: Bangalore, KA -India**
To independently perform Supervisor level accounting functions that deal with accounting issues of normal complexity to support business processes and provide further experience with Caterpillar accounting practices.
**Job Duties**
- Financial accounting Invoice to Pay, including preparation of journal entries, and account reconciliations intercompany reconciliation and analysis development and maintenance of internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control documentation Financial Systems SOX Compliance
- Core System knowledge to manage projects on ERP/SAP, Xflow tool, EDI and implementation of SAP Hana independently Partnering with Delivery Center and collaborate with business Units.
- The incumbent will be exposed to a variety of accounting functions and will perform a high level of compilation with a broad range of analysis work. The Incumbent I will review clerical input, advise Business Partner, Delivery centre and entry-level accountants on Invoice to Pay process,
- The Incumbent will review and validate relevant data and data sources, analyze information and provide feedback
- Hands-on experience to use Tableau & Power BI reports and infer business sense for translating the data into actionable business goals and generate reports to provide related commentary.
- Incumbent works on challenging, low to medium risk issues and makes decisions and recommendations as appropriate.
- Work will be directed by an accounting supervisor primarily through review of progress and results.
- Possible areas of responsibility are varied and of medium complexity, including:
- Invoice to Pay preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley control Documentation, working with various Financial Systems
- The Incumbent will demonstrate knowledge and ability to independently handle Invoice To Pay process by partnering with the Delivery Center for monitoring and delivering pay on time to vendors, and ensuring compliance with the policies & procedures for Invoice to Pay process.
- Collaborate and co-ordinate with Business Units and Internal customers and drive effectiveness and efficiency through continues Improvement with use of systems and tools related to Invoice to Pay function.
- Perform audits to validate the accuracy on the vendor invoice accounting and vendor payments.
- Monitor the invoice grief and payment grief for timely resolution and follow the governance process in case of escalations and identify and work on continues improvement opportunities to reduce grief.
- Monitor the service deliverables through designated system and tools.
- Should be conversant with interactive dashboards to analyze and arrive insights for discussion with the service provider.
- Review the payable reconciliation for aged balances and coordinate with the service provider and Business units for resolution.
- Utilizes various systems and techniques to accumulate and process data, and identifies process improvement opportunities within ITP to improve compliance and process efficiency.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of local statutory accounting, currency, and tax and trade controls are desired. They will demonstrate good communication skills and have an expanded knowledge of Caterpillar’s businesses, products, suppliers and customers.
**Background/Experience**
- Should have master’s degree in accounting /Business Administration.
- Minimum Six to Eight years of experience in leadership role handling Invoice to Pay process from client side and managing team and delivery Center
