We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL DBA Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, specializing in database migration projects. The DBA Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and migrating our Oracle and Postgres database systems. This role requires expertise knowledge in PostgreSQL and hands on Oracle database administration, along with strong migration skills and a proven track record of successful database migration projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle/Postgresql DBA Engineer, with a focus on database migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and Postgres database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Proven experience in planning and executing successful database migration projects, ideally involving Oracle to Postgres or Postgres to Oracle migrations.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages for database migration and data transformation activities.
- Familiarity with database migration tools and methodologies, such as Oracle Data Pump, PostgreSQL COPY command, or third-party migration tools.
