**FUNCTION INTRODUCTION**:
The Hygiene team is involved in generating insights and delivering new technologies for superior hygiene benefits through Home Care products. One of the key thrust areas within the program is to build the Hygiene capabilities as well as identify and screen future-fit disruptive technologies for microbe control in hygiene, build a thorough understanding of the mode of action of actives, by amalgamating the chemical, biochemical and microbiological pathways.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design and develop Home Care formulation by incorporation of select hygiene actives, measure and correlate physio-chemical parameters.
- Design, develop and validate new methods for evaluating actives/current technologies benchmarked to relevant controls.
- Interpret data and communicate scientific results through technical reports writing and presentations.
- Management of 3P services (in specific areas as appropriate) and liaise with academic partners under the supervision of the manager.

- Interact with the project team to translate the insights to innovations to move the projects forward.
- Interact with 3P labs and external partners to carry out routine measurements and co-ordinate with them to ensure good data generation

**EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Biochemistry or B.Tech./ BE in Chemical Engineering.
- 1-3 years research experience gained either through industrial or academic research in Applied Chemistry, Formulation Design, Material Science, Colloid chemistry, Biochemistry related projects is preferred.
- Hands on experience in material synthesis, characterisation, method development and data analysis are preferred.
- Experience in statistical analysis (using Excel, Origin, JMP, etc.), interpretation of data and scientific writing skills.
- Basic appreciation in computational chemistry (e.g., DFT, QSAR, MD simulation etc.) is preferred.
- Appreciation towards biology/ biochemical assays and correlation to physico-chemical pathways of actives.
- Very well organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, confident, quick learner.
- Should be a team player and have good written and verbal communication skills.
