- Develop overall organizational finance strategy and development of business plans to ensure financial well-being of the organization.
- Establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements, managing budgets, forecasts, actuals, and monitoring performance to ensure the financial health and integrity of the company.
- Interact with and bring department into line with Board of Directors' plans, initiatives, and recommendations.
- Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
- Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.
- Select and engage consultants, auditors, and investors. Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and tax department.
- Remain updated on audit best practices as well as state, federal and local laws regarding company operations.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for investors and company's board of directors.
- Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
- Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
- Hire, develop and manage accounting directors, managers, and staff. Mentor and develop a team of more than 10 senior managers and/or directors, managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.
- Work with Human Resources, Legal, and senior management to ensure appropriate legal compliances.
