**Job Title: Storage L2 Engineer**

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Storage Infrastructure Management**:

- Design, deploy, and manage storage solutions to meet the organization's requirements.
- Monitor storage performance and proactively address any issues to ensure optimal system operation.
- **Data Protection and Backup**:

- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
- Test and validate backup procedures regularly to ensure data integrity and availability.
- **Capacity Planning**:

- Analyze storage capacity trends and plan for future requirements.
- Recommend and implement capacity upgrades as needed to support business growth.
- **Troubleshooting and Support**:

- Provide Level 2 support for storage-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve storage incidents, working closely with other IT teams and vendors as necessary.
- **Security and Compliance**:

- Implement and enforce storage security policies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security standards.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Update documentation regularly to reflect changes in the storage environment.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other IT teams, including network, server, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of storage systems with overall IT infrastructure.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- X years of experience in storage management (specific technologies may include SAN, NAS, etc.).
- Relevant certifications such as EMCISA, CompTIA Storage+, or vendor-specific storage certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of storage protocols and technologies (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS).
- Experience with storage virtualization and provisioning.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with storage management tools and platforms (e.g., EMC Unity, NetApp, HPE 3PAR).
- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage).
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
