**About the role**

The GBS Data Office (GDO) supports Commercial and Enabling Units business areas.

The Data Governance Administrator is responsible for supporting a range of data governance operational activities to ensure data is acquired, documented, and accessed in line with company policies and standards, as well as contractual obligations. The role will cover a range of activities, such as running data acquisitions, facilitating data sharing, maintaining data catalogues and dictionaries, and supporting colleagues through data access processes.

The role will support aspects of data usage, processes, and initiatives for relevant business areas.

**Typical Accountabilities**

**Data Sharing**
- Support the data governance team in internal data sharing requests
- Handle requests for data sharing with third parties, supporting and ensuring processes completion
- Facilitate data sharing agreements and protocols with external partners and collaborators
- Collaborate and work on TPA (Third Party Agreement) for the data sharing requests
- Track requests and work closely with the Vendor for form submissions
- Support in documenting process SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and supervise expiration dates

**Data acquisitions**
- Document arguments for data acquisitions from external vendors
- Facilitate the internal request approval process
- Support data requestors through the process and act as first point of contact for requests
- Organise collaborator meetings and discussions as appropriate and keep all collaborators updated on request progress
- Collaborate with other internal teams, such as procurement or IT on progressing the data acquisition request

**Data catalogue maintenance**
- Support the data governance team in creating and maintaining catalogue entries for acquired data
- Collaborate with data vendors on compiling the required metadata
- Support internal data users with understanding the data catalogues and finding the required information

**Data access request management**
- Manage data access requests from internal and external collaborators, according to company and data vendor policy
- Ensure all required information related to each request is available and documented
- Submit required request information to data vendor
