Location : Mohali

The IT Administrator will be responsible for **configuring servers, managing databases, implementing security protocols, and ensuring IT assets' security**. This role requires a problem-solver with a **proactive approach** who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive **process improvements** to enhance system stability and security.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **System Administration & Performance Optimization**:

- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Optimize IT infrastructure to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- **Network Management & Troubleshooting**:

- Manage, monitor, and maintain **LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security**.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues to minimize disruptions.
- Implement and maintain network policies and procedures.
- **Database Administration & Security**:

- Administer, maintain, and secure **databases** to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Develop and enforce security policies to protect **organizational assets**.
- Conduct **risk assessments** and implement security measures against cyber threats.
- **IT Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Provide technical support to employees and resolve IT-related issues efficiently.
- Work closely with different departments to understand and fulfill IT needs.
- Train users on IT best practices and security protocols.
- **Process Improvement & Documentation**:

- Identify opportunities for **process improvements** to enhance IT efficiency.
- Maintain proper documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and changes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades when necessary.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field**.
- **4+ years of hands-on experience in IT administration, system management, and network troubleshooting**.
- Strong expertise in **Windows/Linux server administration** and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of **database management (MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)**.
- Experience with **firewalls, security protocols, VPNs, and network security**.
- Proficiency in **cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus**.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
