Data Architect

We are looking for an innovative Data Architect who develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery. Designs and builds Big Data/Relational/No-SQL/OLAP databases for data storage or processing. Being a Data Architect may evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organization’s quality standards and ease of integration. Builds data models and defines the structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements.
- WHAT YOU WILL DO:_
- Design data model components to support data transformation and results of analytic algorithms;
- Integrate disparate data models across the company into one enterprise-wide Unified Data Platform design;
- Develop database design and architecture documentation;
- Drive culture of standardization in data transformation and analytic logic;
- Surface inconsistencies in data definitions so that they can be reconciled;
- Develop a corporate data library / metadata repository including best practice for development of data transformation specifications;
- Interaction with software engineering and DBA teams in order to understand their database requirements for new products or features;
- Participates in prototyping and proof of concept system development and benchmarking;
- Shape enterprise data architecture design patterns, design principles and best practices enhancing business solution delivery;
- Plans and implements backup and recovery strategies;
- Plan and provide operational oversight in database maintenance with mínimal impact to customers;
- Participates in code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed;
- Perform database administration tasks, including automation, performance monitoring, system tuning, and SQL query optimization.
- WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:_
- BE/Btech degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (_preferred)_
- 12+ years of proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
- Excellent Problem Solving capabilities as to Define, Analyze, Brainstorm and Solutioning.
- 5+ years of experience with data modeling, schema design patterns and modern data access patterns (including API, streams, data lake) is **REQUIRED**:

- 5+ years as a proven leader interacting with customers/clients to collect requirements and manage a technical data backlog is **REQUIRED**; therefore you must have excellent interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, as well as a consultative/collaborative style.
- 2+ years of experience with Clover DX data transformation (mapping) is **REQUIRED**:

- 2+ years of experience with dbt Core is **REQUIRED**:

- 3+ years with Databricks and Spark framework are highly desired
- 10+ years of experience with SQL, knowledgeable in complex queries and joins is **REQUIRED**; experience with UDF and/or Stored Procedure development is highly desired
- 3 + years strong experience with Azure, AWS, GCP or other cloud experience is highly desired.
