Social Worker

**Job overview**

We are looking for a field social worker who will actively work for the welfare of alone-living senior citizens in Goa.

**Job responsibilities**
- Conducting assessments of elderly clients to identify their needs, strengths and challenges.
- Developing personalized care plans for each client based on their needs and preferences.
- Offering emotional support and counselling to address mental issues.
- Connecting elderly clients with relevant community resources and services.
- Serve as an advocate for the elderly clients, helping them access entitlements, benefits, and services.
- Responding to medical emergencies and crisis.
- Conducting regular home visits to monitor the living conditions and safety of elderly clients.
- Collaborating with family members or caregivers to create a support network for the client.
- Organizing and facilitating group activities, outings, and social gatherings to reduce social isolation.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Offering educational workshops and training sessions to elderly clients and their families.

**Job requirements**
- Bachelor’s in social work.
- 1-2 years’ experience in field work.
- Must have own vehicle for transportation.
- Should have good communication and documentation skills.
