Makeup Educator

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instruction & Curriculum Delivery**:

- Teach a variety of makeup techniques including foundational beauty makeup, advanced artistry, bridal makeup, special effects (SFX), airbrush makeup, and more.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, practical exercises, and assignments that are aligned with industry standards.
- Ensure that students are proficient in different makeup styles (e.g., natural, glam, editorial, high fashion, special effects, etc.).
- Create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity while mastering technical skills.
- **Hands-On Demonstrations**:

- Show students how to work with various products, including foundations, concealers, powders, primers, and different types of tools (brushes, sponges, airbrush systems, etc.).
- **Student Assessment & Feedback**:

- Evaluate student performance through both practical assignments and written tests, providing constructive feedback on technique, creativity, and overall execution.
- Offer individualized guidance and support to students struggling with specific techniques or concepts.
- Monitor students’ progress and adapt teaching methods to ensure all students meet key learning outcomes.
- **Industry Knowledge & Trends**:

- Stay current with makeup trends, techniques, and product innovations to keep students informed of the latest developments in the beauty industry.
- Share insights into professional makeup artist practices, such as building a portfolio, marketing services, and building a career in the beauty industry.
- Introduce students to essential makeup artistry tools and professional-grade products, explaining how to use them effectively.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Ensure a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
- Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of makeup stations and tools.
- Manage class schedules, keeping students engaged and motivated throughout the learning process.
- **Professional Development**:

- Attend regular staff meetings and professional development training to continuously improve teaching methods and stay up-to-date on industry changes.
- Participate in workshops, product launches, or training sessions to deepen expertise.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education & Certification**:

- Professional certification from a recognized makeup artistry school or equivalent experience.
- Additional training or specialization in areas like special effects (SFX), airbrush makeup, or body painting is a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Prior teaching experience or a passion for mentoring and developing others is highly preferred.
- Practical Knowledge and experience about Makeup Industry.
- **Skills & Knowledge**:

- Expertise in a wide range of makeup techniques and products, including skincare prep, base makeup (foundation, concealer, contour), eye makeup (lashes, eyeliner, brows), special effects makeup, cinema makeup and more.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Knowledge of different skin types and tones, and the ability to teach techniques tailored to various clients.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple students and tasks simultaneously.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- A passion for makeup artistry and teaching others.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of students in a dynamic learning environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in bridal, fashion, and film industry makeup.
- Knowledge of current beauty trends and products.
- Advanced makeup certifications (e.g., SFX, Airbrush, or Master Makeup Artist certification).
