Project Coordinator

**Job Summary**: The Project Coordinator in Civil Engineering will support the project management team in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Coordinator will also help define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Planning**:
1.Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
2.Collaborate with project managers to outline the scope, goals, deliverables, and project schedules.
**Coordination and Communication**:
1.Coordinate between Engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
2.Facilitate regular communication to ensure alignment of project goals and expectations.
3.Organize and maintain project documentation, reports, and meeting minutes.
**Resource Management**:
1.Monitor project resources, ensuring availability and optimal use.
2.Assist in the procurement of materials and services, ensuring they meet project specifications.
**Project Monitoring and Reporting**:
1.Track project progress against the established schedule, making adjustments as necessary.
2.Report regularly on project status, highlighting potential risks and issues.
3.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on site.
**Budget Management**:
1.Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
2.Monitor expenditures, ensuring they align with the project budget.
**Quality Assurance**:
1.Oversee quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.
2.Coordinate inspections and resolve any quality-related issues.
**Risk Managemen**t:
1.Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
2.Assist in the resolution of any issues that arise during project execution.
**Client Interaction**:
1.Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or queries promptly.
2.Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet their expectations.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in civil engineering or construction.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
1.PMP or other relevant project management certification.
2.Experience with budgeting and financial management.
3.Familiarity with local construction codes and regulations
