**Job Title**: Costing Engineer - Base Build Division

**Education**:Diploma or B.E. Civil engineering

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic Financial Planning and Budgeting**:

- Partner with the Business Head to set financial objectives for base build projects, aligning them with overall business goals.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets, factoring in labor, materials, equipment, procurement, and contingency planning.
- **Cost Estimation and Feasibility Analysis**:

- Conduct detailed cost estimations for all phases of project development, from initial design to completion.
- Assess the financial feasibility of projects by analyzing capital expenditure, operating costs, and long-term financial impact.
- **Cost Control and Optimization**:

- Implement cost-control measures to monitor project expenses in real time, identifying opportunities for optimization without compromising quality.
- Investigate and explain variances between actual costs and budgeted figures, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- **Financial Reporting and Presentation**:

- Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, budget forecasts, and profitability evaluations, to the Business Head and stakeholders.
- Communicate financial insights in a clear, concise manner, tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- **Vendor and Procurement Management**:

- Evaluate vendor and contractor proposals to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with project budgets.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
- **Risk Management and Mitigation**:

- Identify potential financial risks, such as material cost fluctuations or supply chain delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure the creation of contingency budgets to safeguard project timelines and deliverables.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and corporate financial policies, maintaining audit-ready documentation for all cost-related activities.
- Keep meticulous records of cost estimates, expenditures, and approvals for future reference.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:
The performance of the Costing Engineer will be measured against the following criteria:

- **Budget Accuracy**:

- Percentage deviation between initial cost estimates and actual project costs (target deviation ≤ 5%).
- **Cost Savings**:

- Total savings achieved through vendor negotiations and cost optimization (measured as a percentage of the budget).
- **Reporting Timeliness**:

- Adherence to deadlines for financial reporting and submission of cost analyses.
- **Cost Variance Management**:

- Effective monitoring and minimization of variances in project costs against the budget (variance ≤ 10%).
- **Vendor Efficiency**:

- Rate of successful vendor negotiations and contract adherence (target ≥ 90% vendor compliance).
- **Project Financial Health**:

- Delivery of projects within approved budgets and profitability targets.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning in construction or engineering sectors.
- Expertise in financial tools and software like SAP, Excel, and project management platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on financial optimization.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
