**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Design & Architecture**:

- Design and implement database schemas, tables, and relationships to support business requirements.
- Develop and enforce data standards, policies, and best practices to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
- Architect scalable and high-performance SQL database solutions for both OLTP and OLAP systems.
- **Performance Optimization**:

- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations for performance improvements.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure high availability and reliability of SQL databases.
- **Data Modeling**:

- Create and maintain data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Ensure that data models align with business requirements and support data warehousing and analytics.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide recommendations for database-related decisions.
- **Database Management**:

- Oversee database deployment, migrations, and upgrades.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery.
- **Security & Compliance**:

- Ensure database security through proper user access controls, encryption, and monitoring.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to data security and privacy.
- **Troubleshooting & Support**:

- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex database issues and outages.
- Offer support and guidance for database-related incidents and performance issues.
- **Innovation & Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in database management.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance database performance and capabilities.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure SQL Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional) is a plus.
- **Experience**: 7+ years of experience in SQL database design and architecture, including experience with large-scale databases and high-performance systems.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational database management systems.
- Expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, and database tuning.
- Experience with database management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle Enterprise Manager).
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with NoSQL databases and modern data architectures (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
