We have been implementing CSR projects for a few large CSR companies including IBM, Diageo, Cadila Pharma, Arvind Ltd, Airbus, PNB Housing Finance, and others. We have our programs in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

BharatCares along with a corporate partner is launching a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) in Bharuch, Gujarat. The MMU will provide a range of preventive, promotive, diagnostic, and referral-based information focused on improving maternal and child health by identifying and reducing the number of high-risk pregnancies. The overall objective of this intervention is to provide the above-mentioned services and enable referrals with focus on improved MCH outcomes amongst the unreached population. Along with this, the MMU intervention will allow for documentation of the process for replicability and scalability to share learning with the health department for sustainability and scalability of the effort. In this intervention, BharatCares along with the corporate partner will provide an MMU equipped with the basic installations required for ANC and PNC and IEC required to share information with beneficiaries.

The MMU staff will visit up to 2 locations a day covering distant villages that do not have easy access to conduct ANC and PNC check-ups, and other requirements for acceptable MCH. This intervention stands to provide primary care services focused on Maternal and Child health, along with screening and referral linkage to appropriate higher faculties in the case of high-risk pregnancies. Some of the diagnostics conducted at the MMU include: 1. Blood glucose, 2. Pregnancy testing, 3. Urine testing, 4. Albumin and sugar, 5. Hb 6. Height/Weight

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Responding to patients’ medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referral, where necessary.
- Ordering lab tests and interpreting the test results.
- Perform routine checkups on patients
- Provide appropriate medical treatment for various illnesses and injuries
- Prescribe, administer and dispense medication in accordance with state and federal statutes
- Maintaining Patient register on a daily basis and keeping the entries up to date
- Independently lead the MMU and the team through organising all departments, assigning tasks to each team member and its daily operations for its smooth functioning
- Visit up to 2 locations a day covering distant villages that do not have easy access to conduct ANC and PNC check-ups, and other requirements for acceptable MCH and attend to cases referred by the Nurse staff. Cases needing further medical intervention to be referred to other/nearby hospitals
- Manage the operations on a regular basis along with the supporting staff and active monitoring of the beneficiaries’ progress, thereby ensuring their recovery
- Supervise the work of all the team members in MMU and guide the staff when necessary
- Ensure the inventories and stock registers are all up to date
- Ensure regular supply by sending monthly indents of the upcoming month on medical equipment, drugs, and other relevant necessities by 25th of every month.
- Stakeholder management and liaison with local authorities such as BDO, Community leaders, social welfare agencies and District Health authorities
- **Qualification and Experience**:

- M.B.B.S. degree from an accredited medical school with registration in Medical Council of India
- Board certification and license number
- Atleast 1 - 3 years of experience practicing as a primary care doctor. Experience working in a community health programme of pregnant women and mothers would be preferrable
- Excellent counseling, listening, decision-making and communication skills
- Compassionate nature with the ability to make patients feel at ease

**Salary**: ₹75,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
