**Minimum 1 year to 2 years of experience in Maintenance (Mechanical)**

**Role**:The maintenance supervisor for air, dust, and fume extraction systems or exhaust systems will oversee the maintenance and repair of these systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to work in a dynamic industrial environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- **System Inspection and Maintenance**: The maintenance supervisor will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of air, dust, and fume extraction systems or exhaust systems to identify any potential issues or areas in need of maintenance. This includes checking filters, ductwork, fans, and other components to ensure they are functioning properly.
- **Troubleshooting and Repairs**:In the event of system malfunctions or breakdowns, the maintenance supervisor will be required to troubleshoot the issues and perform necessary repairs. This may involve replacing worn-out parts, repairing leaks, or addressing any other mechanical or electrical problems.
- **Compliance Monitoring**:Ensuring that the air, dust, and fume extraction systems or exhaust systems comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations is a critical responsibility.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and compliance measures is essential.
- **Team Coordination**:Collaborating with a team of technicians or maintenance staff to execute maintenance tasks efficiently is crucial. The supervisor will need to coordinate work schedules, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols.
- **Inventory Management**: Keeping track of spare parts inventory and ensuring that necessary supplies are available for maintenance activities is another responsibility. The supervisor may need to order parts as needed and maintain an organized inventory system.
- **Emergency Response**: Being prepared to respond to emergency situations such as system failures or safety incidents is essential. The maintenance supervisor should have protocols in place for addressing urgent maintenance needs promptly.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
