Warden

Position: Warden Organization: AISECT Dindayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra Location: Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, India Preference: Ex-Army personnel

**Responsibilities**:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the hostel, including student accommodations, facilities, and resources.

Create and enforce hostel rules, regulations, and codes of conduct to maintain discipline and ensure a safe and secure environment.

Conduct regular inspections of the hostel premises to identify and address any maintenance, cleanliness, or safety issues.

Handle and resolve student complaints, concerns, or conflicts promptly and effectively.

Provide guidance and counseling to students, offering support and assistance when needed.

Collaborate with the academic and administrative staff to ensure smooth coordination between the hostel and the institution.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, discipline, and other relevant information.

Coordinate with the security staff to implement appropriate security measures within the hostel premises.

Organize and supervise recreational and extracurricular activities for the students.

Arrange and oversee the distribution of meals, ensuring quality and timely service.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and emergency protocols.

Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services, if required.

Prepare periodic reports on hostel activities, incidents, and student welfare.

Qualifications and Skills:
Ex-Army personnel with a minimum rank of Subedar or equivalent is preferred.

Strong leadership and managerial skills acquired from military experience.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.

Empathy and understanding to provide guidance and support to students.

Knowledge of hostel management procedures, safety protocols, and discipline enforcement.

Basic computer literacy for maintaining records and generating reports.

Physical fitness and the ability to handle emergency situations, if necessary.

Prior experience in a similar role or managing residential facilities is desirable.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
