**Laboratory Preparation**:

- Prepare and set up laboratory experiments as per the curriculum and instructions provided by faculty members.
- Ensure availability of necessary chemicals, reagents, and equipment for each experiment.
- Arrange and organize materials required for practical sessions.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Conduct routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Identify and report malfunctioning equipment for repair or replacement.
- Calibrate and clean instruments regularly.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of chemicals, reagents, and laboratory supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Dispose of expired or unused chemicals following safety guidelines.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Enforce and adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory.
- Train students and staff on safety procedures and the proper use of equipment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
- **Assistance to Faculty and Students**:

- Provide assistance to faculty members during lectures, demonstrations, and experiments.
- Assist students in understanding experimental procedures and techniques.
- Offer support during research projects and experiments.
- **Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of experiments, procedures, and inventory.
- Assist in compiling data for research projects and academic studies.
- Generate reports as required by faculty or department heads.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other lab assistants, faculty, and staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the Chemistry Department.
- Participate in departmental meetings and workshops as required.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay informed about advancements in laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
