**Job Title: Hospital Pharmacist**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Dispensing Medications: Prepare and dispense medications as prescribed by doctors, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Patient Counseling: Provide patients with information about their medications, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.
- Pharmacy Operations: Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, manage inventory, and perform administrative tasks.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient history, medication dispensing, and inventory management.
**Essential Skills**:
- Knowledge of Pharmacology: Understanding of medications, their interactions, and potential side effects.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage inventory, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide patient care.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy: A degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Registration with the relevant pharmacy council or board.
- Internships or Practical Experience: Completion of internships or practical experience in a pharmacy setting can be beneficial ¹ ².
