**Job Title**: Operation Theatre Technician

**Location**: Dr.Aravind's IVF ,Chennai

**Department**: Surgical Services

**Reports To**: Operating Room Manager/Head Surgeon

**Job Summary**: The Operation Theatre Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams by ensuring that the operating room is prepared for procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Preparation of Operating Room**:

- Ensure the operating room is clean and properly set up before procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
- **Assisting in Procedures**:

- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by providing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels during surgery.
- **Post-Operative Care**:

- Help in transferring patients to recovery areas.
- Ensure that all used instruments and materials are accounted for and properly disposed of.
- **Maintenance of Equipment**:

- Regularly check and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, particularly those related to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and education regarding new technologies and procedures.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of surgeries and instruments used.
- Assist in documenting patient information as required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Diploma or degree in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

**Working Conditions**:

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- May be required to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting patients.

Pay: From ₹12,000.00 per month
