Ø To assist the doctors and help in arranging the equipments before surgery.

Ø Should have a good communication, interpersonal and management skill.

Ø To check the working of anesthesia machine, single or multi
- channel monitor, pulse oxy meter, diathermy machine, C-arm, portable suction, OT light, laparoscopic machine, harmonic scalpel etc.

Ø To ensure central supply of oxygen and nitrous oxide, central suction availability and their working condition.

Ø To ensure the availability of portable suction apparatus.

Ø To assist head in training juniors, trainees and students undergoing technical training.

Ø To position the patient according to the surgery.

Ø To assist anesthetists and surgeon during surgery at the time of intubations, extubations and to keep drugs for IV infusions and blood transfusions.

Ø Should have knowledge to identify and face any emergency situation during the surgery.

Ø To ensure that the anesthetic machine is ready with the necessary equipments such as ET tube, jelly, airways spray, plasters, eye ointment, injections, syringes and intravenous materials.

Ø To assist anesthetist for general anesthesia, spinal, epidural and local anesthesia.

Ø To operate and maintain the operative lights as per the instruction of the surgeons.

Ø To maintain Boyle’s apparatus, to check oxygen and nitrogen cylinders, central supply line, flow meters, cylinder key, urine bags, masks, soda lime connectors, etc

Ø Should accompany the patient along with the nurse while shifting the patient to operation room and then to recovery room within the theatre complex.

Ø Should ensure the privacy and safety of the patient.

Ø Should be aware of the biomedical waste disposal policies, procedures and protocols.

Ø To ensure the IV bottles and syringes loaded with medications are labeled properly with date and time.

Ø Should adhere to the infection control protocol.

Ø Should assist in maintaining a record of the level of CO2/O2 cylinders before and after the surgery so that replacement can be done in advance.

Ø Should assist head in maintaining department manuals, documents and quality standards.

Ø Should coordinate with other department staffs and collect necessary reports as advised by the head.

Ø Should attend all meetings and training classes conducted by the department without fail.

Ø Should follow department policies and procedures and keep detailed document records for all hospital audits.

Ø Should follow the organization rules, regulations, policies and procedures strictly. In case of violation necessary actions will be taken by the management

Ø Should strictly follow the leave policies and procedures and inform head before availing any leave.

Ø Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
