**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Designation : Purchase Executive**

**Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Manufacturing**

**Educational Background**:

- **BE/B - Tech**

**Location : Madurai**

**Role Purpose**

To handle the strategic sourcing & transaction actions of Direct/indirect categories including Capex, facilities management, professional services, business services, IT & packing material.

**Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities**
- To drive the category strategy for identified categories covering but not limited to CAPEX
- To identify & onboard vendors
- To negotiate Price, Payment Terms, and other T&C as per COATS Procurement Policy.
- Vendor Count Consolidation - Develop innovative sourcing solutions including Integrated Supply Service providers / aggregators, and drive buying through Catalogue / e-Catalogue
- Creative methods of tail spend management.
- Generating Purchase orders for all materials and services (including imports)
- Raising request for vendor advance payment and create a ticket for new item codes (material master) in SNOW.
- Communication of PO and advance payment details to suppliers
- Following - up with suppliers for delivery.
- Supplier Performance Management.
- Drive Digitalization within Procurement like e-RFQ, e-Auctions, e-Catalogues

**Knowledge and understanding of**:

- SAP MM Module
- Basic MS Excel required, Advanced Skills (preferred)
- P2P Processes
- Audit / Compliance Processes
- Digital Tools / Skills (preferred)

**Skills & Abilities**
- Drive and Hunger to Succeed
- Persuasion / Negotiation
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in English and Tamil
- Detailing and result orientation
- Ability to work in matrix organisation
