Salesforce Solution Architect

Role Purpose:
The Data & Analytics division of LSEG is transforming their business with a digital vision which allows customers to Explore, purchase and use the content on our strategic data platforms. Corporate Technology provides the commercial and finance platforms which empower this vision.

LSEG needs a Senior Solution Architect who has experience working across CRM, Data and ERP platforms as part of a large global enterprise transformation program. With a particular specialism in implementing Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Commerce cloud architecture.

In the role, you will be accountable for defining end-to-end solutions on assigned projects, documenting the solution in a Solution Architecture Document and taking the solution through the LSEG governance processes. The role will also provide ongoing architectural guidance to multiple projects through their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with Business Stakeholders, Product Owner, Business Analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams
- To be the solution architect to work with designers & tech lead to define the end-to-end solution & design covering all involved systems, data, integration, security and non-functional requirements
- Identify architecture exceptions during definitions of target and transitional architectures
- Follow governance processes agreed with CT Architecture Team - adherence to defined principles, policies, technology, information and process standards
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation including Solution Architecture Document, Data Flow Diagram, Integrated Architecture diagram etc
- Review solution individually with key non functional stakeholders e.g. Security, Privacy etc
- Present solutions in various forums (like Design Integrity Forum, Architecture Committee, Architecture Review Board) and with different teams like Security, Privacy.
- Help project team to size & estimate project implementation and identify resources and skillsets needed for delivery of solution
- Ensure the proposed solution aligns with the business outcome
- Ensures all solutions follow Corporate Technology and enterprise solution standards, align with overall roadmap, have good quality documentation, and follow all relevant governance steps
- Contribute to the ongoing review and update of Saelsforce best standards and principles

Critical Deliverables:

- A fully articulated Solution Architecture Document that includes
- Details on end to solution from a conceptual, logical and physical level
- Security features and settings
- System Integration details
- Risks and mitigations

N.B. The role holder will be Accountable for the delivery of this document but is expected to work with Subject Matter Experts to complete sections outside the role holder’s expertise.
- Gathering approvals for the solution architecture through the LSEG Governance processes

Impact:
This role sets the technology direction of the overall project and therefore can influence cost and timelines to the assigned projects.

Key KPIs:

- Completion of Solution Architecture Document to agreed timelines
- Successful ‘sign off’ of the Solution as described in the Solution Architecture Document from the relevant stakeholders and review boards within the agreed timelines of the plan

Technical/job functional knowledge:

- Experienced in architecting, delivering and supporting Salesforce based systems:

- Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Salesforce Service Cloud
- Salesforce CPQ
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Expericnced in architecting the CRM transformation from traditional subscription commercials to usage commericials with the integrations with Product, CRM, Data and ERP platforms
- Familiarity with networking and security concepts
- Ideally, experience or knowledge of
- Onboarding SaaS solutions
- Appreciation of InfoSec practices as applied in a regulated environment
- Strong technical acumen
- Appropriate Salesforce Architecture certification
- Proven experience in leading the solution architecture for Salesforce projects
- Proven knowledge of key Salesforce technologies
