Position Summary

I4DI is currently searching for a Chief of Party for an upcoming USAID opportunity in India that will provide high quality, demand-driven monitoring, evaluation, and learning support throughout the design and implementation of USAID/India’s activities to ensure that the Mission’s development activities achieve their intended results.

The Chief of Party (COP) is responsible for leading and managing the overall operations of the CLA activities in coordination with USAID. S/he will provide technical and managerial leadership in performance and impact evaluations, sector assessments, baseline assessment, evaluation design and methodology, research and analysis, performance monitoring and evaluation capacity building, and collaborating, learning, and adapting. The COP works closely with USAID India’s Program Office, Mission technical offices, staff and management from other USAID implementing partner-operated activities, representatives of the Government of India and other international donors or stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:
She/he will serve as the primary contact to USAID/India on behalf of the I4DI and will be responsible for the technical direction of the activity.

She/he will meet with USAID on a regular basis and represent the activity before the Government of India (GOI), USAID implementing partners (IPs), and other stakeholders.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community groups for smooth implementation.

Mentor, support, and supervise activity staff and directly manage consultants.

Facilitate the development of activity work plans and budgets and ensure the timely submission and quality of all activity reports in compliance with the award.

Ensure necessary program planning, development, implementation, and management activities function smoothly and efficiently.

Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
At a minimum, a master’s degree in International Relations, International Development, or related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience managing the monitoring, evaluation, and learning of international development projects.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chief of Party or related position on USAID programs.

Demonstrated experience leading teams and/or managing an office with a diverse (and at times, remote) staff.

Knowledge of USAID policy and compliance requirements, including AIDAR and the ADS

Experience working in India is required.

English proficiency essential.
