A jewelry merchandiser is responsible for selecting, organizing, and displaying jewelry in a way that encourages sales. They also help customers choose jewelry and ensure the merchandise is well-stocked. Responsibilities
- **Product selection**: Choose jewelry items to carry in the store
- **Pricing**: Decide on price structures for the jewelry
- **Inventory management**: Track inventory levels and report shortages
- **Visual presentation**: Ensure the jewelry is displayed in a way that complements the brand and attracts customers
- **Customer service**: Help customers try on, size, and examine jewelry
- **Store maintenance**: Clean up unwanted items and ensure the store is in good order
- **Design**: Create original designs for jewelry and accessories
- **Research**: Stay up to date on trends and market requirements
- **Prototype**: Create prototypes for mass production
- **Materials**: Research and procure materials like precious metals, gems, beads, and stones
- **Drawing**: Sketch designs and create computer-aided design (CAD) models
- **Production**: Work with production teams to manufacture jewelry
- **Quality control**: Review and correct products for technical accuracy
- **Communication**: Work with other departments, such as R&D, marketing, and production
- **Business management**: Manage social media, website content, and new launches
