**JOB TITLE- Cloud Operations Expert (f/m/d)**

**PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES**

The Technology & Innovation (T&I) board area is responsible for SAP Business Technology Platform - the platform for the Intelligent Enterprise that includes technologies like SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics, and Intelligent Technologies. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model
- and market driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value.
Our T&I Cloud Operations team, with locations in Bengaluru, Sofia, Walldorf, Berlin and Vancouver, is responsible for the operations of all SAP Business Technology Platform cloud services delivered to our internal and external customers. We ensure the 7/24 System Monitoring, Incident management, drive improvements via our problem management process, create transparency via our reports, meetings and communication channels and support development teams with coordination on change management and cloud operation compliance topics. We work very close with all T&I product development teams according to the DevOps principles and have set-up our team in the SRE mode. On SAP level we drive and align process and tool improvements together with other cloud operation teams and all central teams.

For our T&I Cloud Operations team in Bengaluru, we are looking for Cloud Operations Process Expert

You will work in our Cloud Engineering Team and proactively drive automation, continuous improvement of productive landscapes, coordinate incident management across the layers and development teams. We are looking for energetic result oriented, solution engineers with broad technical knowledge around PaaS (Platform), SaaS (Services), Infrastructure (IaaS) to develop and/or enhance critical components and Tools. Development, automation would be expected that enable efficient day to day Cloud Operations.
Play a significant role in the team to provide, protect and improve the software and systems behind productive services of SAP Busines Technology Platform with an ever-watchful eye on their availability, performance, and capacity.

**Role Requirements**
- Good understanding of ITIL processes (would be an advantage)
- Very good Project Management skills.
- Sound knowledge on at least one cloud hyper-scaler Amazon, Azure or Google
- 2+ years of experience as Site Reliability DevOps engineer
- 3+ years of experience in driving continuous improvements with regards to Cloud operations.
- Strong customer focus, service minded, and experience in handling customer escalations
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to challenge complexity with Live Site first / Customer oriented mindset.
- Drive situation analysis of incident situations
- Work independently with Team of engineers, across organizations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to work and contribute within globally distributed teams

**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**
- Initiate, engage while orchestrating wholistic problem management
- Drive root cause analysis and facilitate appropriate solutions by engaging with engineering teams.
- Continuously enhance and improve the availability and reliability of the Business Technology platform.
- Measure and assess the efficiency around the impacting areas.
- Actively drive continuous improvements /best practices to achieve operational excellence and efficiency and maximize uptime
- Support core tasks across multi cloud platform and services with customer-oriented mindset.
- Continuously decrease mean time to recovery and meantime to detection.
- Lead or engage in global cross project initiatives
- Evolve Incident management & Problem management processes
- Contribute to operations model/operational processes and procedures for efficiency
- Work closely and collaborate across roles, functions, as well as with colleagues in other teams and countries

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**
