Job Description:

- JD: Crop Planning: Developing planting schedules and advising farmers on optimal planting times and methods. Soil Management: Assessing soil fertility, pH levels, and nutrient requirements to optimize cotton growth. Pest and Disease Management: Identifying and recommending strategies to control pests, diseases, and weeds that affect cotton plants.Irrigation Management: Advising on proper irrigation practices to ensure adequate moisture levels for cotton plants while avoiding water stress or waterlogging.Crop Nutrition: Recommending fertilization programs based on soil tests and crop needs to maximize yields and quality.Variety Selection: Providing guidance on selecting cotton varieties suitable for specific soil and climatic conditions, as well as desired end-use qualities. Field Monitoring: Conducting regular field visits to monitor crop health, growth progress, and potential issues. Research and Development: Collaborating with researchers to develop new cotton varieties, test innovative farming practices, and address emerging challenges in cotton production. Education and Training: Conducting training sessions, workshops, and educational programs to disseminate knowledge and best practices to farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of field observations, agronomic recommendations, and crop performance data for future analysis and decision-making.
