Job Summary:
The Salesforce DevOps Engineer will be responsible for automating and managing the deployment process, maintaining and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the stability and performance of our Salesforce environments. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Deployment Management:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate the deployment of Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity) solutions.
Coordinate and perform Salesforce deployments, ensuring they are smooth, repeatable, and error-free.
Manage and optimize Salesforce sandboxes and production environments, ensuring alignment with best practices.
Version Control:
Maintain and manage version control in GitLab, ensuring proper branching, merging, and code management practices.
Implement and enforce best practices for source control and deployment processes.
Environment Management:
Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Salesforce environments, including sandboxes and production.
Monitor environment health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks, such as data migration, environment setup, and deployment processes.
Implement automation for testing, validation, and deployment to improve the efficiency and reliability of the release process.
Collaboration:
Work closely with development, QA, and release management teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address their needs in the deployment process.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Set up monitoring and alerting systems to ensure early detection of issues in the deployment pipeline or production environment.
Generate and analyze reports on deployment performance, system stability, and other relevant metrics.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure that all deployments adhere to security and compliance standards, particularly in regulated environments.
Implement and manage security best practices in the Salesforce environment and within CI/CD processes.
