The opportunity

Be a part of our global Work Winning team that provides support to our Consult business across four global regional hubs. The role will be based in our corporate offices in Delhi, India.

As a key member of the appointed bid team, the Bid Writer develops and translates win strategies and business objectives into comprehensive, consistent, customer-focused, error-free documents and presentations. A Bid Writer will project manage their own activity, in line with department bid plans.

Working closely with a Bid Manager, the Bid Writer is adept at working with Subject Matter Experts to guide them in developing technical, commercial, and quality-focused content through a gated review process. Critical skills to possess are the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all stakeholder levels, help craft and then lead copy editing of technical and commercial content, lead workshops to accommodate answer planning, and contribute as part of our global team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Researching and conducting a deep dive into regional regulatory requirements, project scope works instructions and client strategy documents, and competitor analysis.
- Working with technical and commercial stakeholders not limited to Estimators, Designers, Legal Counsel, Health, Safety, and well-being leads, Commercial leads, board level Directors, Joint Venture Partners, and many others.
- Answering, planning/storyboarding with technical and commercial teams to understand the question or scoring mechanisms and set a direction for the bid team to deliver in line with the win strategy.
- Proofreading and copy-editing content.
- Forming an overarching view on, not just how the bid will be delivered, but also how the contract will be delivered and performed at an operational and strategic level while being delivered. This requires a highly analytical mind to visualise and hypothesise different elements of day-to-day contract delivery.
- Threading strategic objectives and winning themes throughout your writing in bid responses.
- Identifying opportunities, synergies and added value in bids and with the writing process/function.
- Taking the lead in writing compelling, factual, focused executive summaries, marketing content, and incorporating client TQ responses.
- Working with the graphics team to develop ideas and bid on content.
- Capturing all new content within bid content library (aftercare).
- Recording and sharing lessons learned and best practices across the global Bid Writing Team and Work for Winning team

About you

You have relevant degree qualifications.

As a digitally savvy self-starter, you are someone who can build lasting relationships at all stakeholder levels across a multi-disciplinary matrix organisation and be an integral part of the bid team. You will have experience in bidding in a construction, engineering, or project/programme management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities that Mace has to offer.
