Social Work Assistant provides administrative and clinical support to social workers, assisting with client case management, documentation, and community outreach. They also may assist with research, data collection, and program implementation. This role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as an understanding of social work principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support: Assist clients in accessing resources, such as housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
Case Management: Support social workers with case file organization, updating records, and preparing reports.
Documentation: Record client information, track progress, and document interventions.
Community Outreach: Assist with outreach efforts, such as organizing events, distributing information, and building relationships with community partners.
Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, manage office supplies, and answer phones.
Research and Data Collection: Assist with data collection, analysis, and research projects as needed.
Skills Required:
Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.

Education and Experience:

Certifications: Some positions may require specific certifications, such as Certified Case Manager.
