**About the internship**

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in case discussions with the healthcare team to contribute social work perspectives to resident care planning.
- Provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and grief counseling as needed under supervision.
- Connecting with the residents and their families to promote emotional and social well-being.

Facilitate referrals to community resources and support groups.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions.
- Engage in community outreach, awareness programs, and mental health promotion activities as assigned.
- Lead and facilitate engagement programs, ensuring a positive, supportive, and encouraging environment for residents to participate.
- Involve residents in the planning and execution of activities to promote a sense of ownership and empowerment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine suitable engagement strategies that align with residents' care plans.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions with clients, families, and staffs.

**Learning Objectives**:

- Gain hands-on experience in medical and psychiatric social work practices.
- Develop assessment, counseling, and case management skills.
- Understand the integration of social work within healthcare and mental health settings.
- Learn to navigate healthcare systems and community resources for holistic resident care.

**Eligibility Criteria**:

- Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) with specialization in Medical & Psychiatric Social Work or related fields.
- Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and handle emotionally challenging situations.

**Duration**: Minimum 2 months

**Stipend**: Rs.3000 - 5000 per month based on the degree.

**Working Days**:6 days

**Timings**: 9a.m. to 5p.m.

Pay: From ₹5,000.00 per month

Schedule:
