Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all housekeeping activities including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, laundry services, and inventory control.
Recruit, train, supervise, schedule and evaluate the performance of housekeeping personnel.
Conduct room inspections regularly to ensure cleaning standards and procedures are followed consistently.
Develop and implement departmental policies, standards, procedures and work schedules to promote efficient operations.
Prepare budgets and reports for the housekeeping department.
Monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
Investigate and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure adequate inventory levels of cleaning supplies, guest room amenities and linen. Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate staffing needs during peak periods.
Maintain current knowledge of modern cleaning techniques, products, equipment and safety regulations.
May perform housekeeping duties as needed to ensure seamless operations.
