Key Responsibilities

Transport Management: Oversee daily school transportation operations, ensuring the timely pickup and drop-off of students.

Route Planning: Develop and optimize bus routes for efficiency and safety, considering factors such as traffic, distance, and student locations.

Team Supervision: Manage and supervise a team of school bus drivers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.

Fleet Maintenance: Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of all school vehicles to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, school policies, and safety regulations.

Safety: Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, conduct regular safety drills, and ensure all drivers are trained in emergency procedures.

Parent Communication: Handle inquiries and concerns from parents regarding transportation services in a professional and timely manner.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records of transport activities, incidents, and maintenance logs. Prepare regular reports for school administration.

Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for transportation-related incidents.

**Qualifications**:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or transport management are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management or a similar role, preferably in a school setting.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of school transportation regulations and safety protocols.

**Skills**:Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Proficiency in using transport management software and tools.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: Certification in school transportation safety or management.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and route optimization software.

Experience: Previous experience working in a school environment.

Work Environment

This position involves working in an office environment as well as overseeing transport operations on-site.

The role may require occasional travel to attend meetings or inspect bus routes.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Capability to perform occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
