**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Bookkeeping & Financial Management**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy.
2. **GST Data Preparation & Return Filing**:
- Prepare GST data for periodic filing as per government regulations.
- File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and others) on time and ensure compliance.
- Address GST-related queries and discrepancies promptly.
3. **Taxation Compliance**:
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and filings.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
4. **Sales & Purchase Management**:
- Record and track sales and purchase transactions accurately.
- Verify invoices, bills, and payment details for accuracy.
- Coordinate with the sales and procurement teams for seamless financial operations.
5. **Vendor Management**:
- Maintain vendor accounts and ensure timely payments.
- Negotiate payment terms and resolve vendor-related disputes.
- Track and update vendor agreements and contracts.
6. **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor and maintain inventory records in collaboration with the store/warehouse team.
- Ensure accurate valuation of stock and manage stock adjustments as needed.
- Prepare inventory reports for financial analysis and planning.
**Key Skills & Competencies**:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other taxation rules.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in financial data.
- Strong organisational skills to handle multiple financial processes simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors, internal teams, and auditors.
**Educational & Experience Requirements**:
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, GST, Taxation or a similar role.
- Prior experience in inventory and vendor management is a plus.
**Performance Metrics**:
- Accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and GST filings.
- Compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
- Efficient management of vendor payments and inventory records.
- Contribution to cost-saving initiatives through process improvements.
This role is designed to ensure smooth financial operations, compliance with tax regulations, and effective management of sales, purchases, and inventory.
