**Overview**:
We are part of the Data Ingest value stream with RFT, responsible for delivering group wide data to global platforms which support our Business Partners in Risk, Finance and Treasury. We provide data services to support financial, regulatory and tax reporting to global and local regulators, to internal clients, and to shareholders.

- Key Responsibilities
- Work with our infrastructure stakeholders to optimize infrastructure consumption across the premise as well as on GCP
- Support the delivery teams by providing design inputs on infrastructure and dev ops
- Automate the build to execution process - on GCP, this would mean not only CI/CD pipelines but also Cloud Composer flows to dynamically provision the infrastructure
- Work with central Cirrus teams to first understand all the infrastructure related ADRs and then even write new ADRs where missing
- Write code to automate ruthlessly - all manual but repetitive tasks need to be automated using technologies such as Python and shell scripting
- Contribute to the wider infrastructure domain goals to ensure consistency in practices and sharing of best practices
- Work with right and robust engineering practices.
- Additionally, the role will include management and leadership responsibilities, such as:

- Devising the CTO roadmap for the RFT Data Ingest Tribe Domain Lead
- Working with othert RFT CTOs within different domains to devise infrastructure strategies
- Perform ITAO functions in addition to day job and guide ITAOs to adopt automation
- Mentoring and teaching
- Discovering new techniques and helping others to adopt them
- Leading by example.

**Skills and Experience**
- 14 - 18 years of experience in the IT industry in the infrastructure function including knowledge of virtualization, data centre set ups, infrastructure costs
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience on Python, as well as shell scripting, Awk and Sed
- Hands on experience with GCP tool sets including automated infrastructure provisioning, fin ops as well as all the associated dev ops tools
