CNC Programmer

**Job Title: CNC Operator**

**Job Summary**: A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specified designs and technical drawings. This role involves setting up and maintaining equipment, ensuring quality and accuracy, and adhering to safety protocols.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Load raw materials and program machines according to job specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Make necessary adjustments to machines to correct any discrepancies.
- **Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines as they arise.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for quality control and compliance purposes.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure production goals are met.
- Provide feedback on design and production processes to improve efficiency and quality.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

**Work Environment**:

- Manufacturing or production facility.
- Exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and potential hazards.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
