**Job Summary**:
The Indian Commis 1 is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Indian dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. This includes a variety of regional Indian cuisines such as North Indian, South Indian, Mughlai, Tandoori, and street-style dishes, ensuring consistency, taste, and hygiene standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare ingredients and mise en place for Indian curries, tandoori items, gravies, breads, and snacks.
- Assist in cooking and plating Indian dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Operate tandoor and other traditional Indian cooking equipment under supervision.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared on time and meet quality and portion control standards.
- Follow hygiene and food safety regulations in accordance with FSSAI or HACCP norms.
- Store and label all food items properly to maintain freshness and avoid spoilage.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Indian kitchen area, equipment, and utensils.
- Assist in stock rotation, inventory checks, and reporting low stock to the Chef de Partie.
- Maintain a high level of personal grooming and kitchen discipline.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional Indian kitchen.
- Basic knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and traditional cooking methods.
- Culinary diploma/certificate preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience.
- Familiarity with operating tandoor, kadai, dosa tawa, etc., is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Willing to learn and grow under the guidance of senior chefs.

**Skills**:

- Good knife skills and ingredient preparation.
- Understanding of Indian food plating and garnishing styles.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to taste, texture, and food presentation.
- Commitment to cleanliness, punctuality, and work ethic.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
