**Job Summary**:
The Bakery Sous Chef supports the Head Chef or Pastry Chef in leading the bakery team, ensuring the preparation of high-quality baked goods. This role involves production planning, quality control, team supervision, and maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in planning, preparing, and producing all bakery and pastry items, including bread, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
- Supervise and guide bakery staff to ensure consistency and quality.
- Ensure recipes and portion control are followed strictly.
- Innovate and test new recipes and seasonal bakery items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery section.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate inventory management - ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients properly.
- Train and mentor junior chefs and bakers.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and report any faults or safety issues.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or degree in Bakery/Patisserie or Culinary Arts.
- 3-5 years of experience in a bakery, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and modern presentation.
- Good leadership, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Creativity in recipe development and presentation.
- Familiarity with dietary trends (e.g., gluten-free, vegan baking).
- Basic knowledge of kitchen budgeting and cost control.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
