**NPD: COSMETICS**

**Job Profile**:
Strong product understanding and working knowledge of Cosmetics/beauty industry that are relevant to the continued evolution of the business, experience in Category Management and/or retailer or distributor/vendor collaboration.

**Responsibilities**:
(a) Managing new product development end-to-end from ideation to development

(b) Overseeing entire project planning and execution across beauty categories

(c) Strategically evaluating Beauty & Personal Care category sizes and market

(e) Sourcing & development of new and novel products for cosmetics. Hands-on on raw material selection and good knowledge of major suppliers

(f) Essential understanding about product quality and stability protocols. Identifies emerging trends in the beauty industry both from a consumer and a product development perspective

(g) Lookout for new technology opportunities that can be applied to the product innovation pipeline

(h) Prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products and tests

(i) Collecting and reviewing beauty products and their ingredients, evaluation methods sourcing finished products from suppliers based on their efficacy, regulatory, and neutrality

(j) Responsible for the development of new products, duplication of prototypes or making modifications to existing formulas with different degrees of complexity, to ensure aesthetics, effectiveness, target cost, stability, and overall quality

(k) Keep detailed documentation for necessary regulatory needs and understand how this impacts formulation Key

(l) Understand the costing of formulation as per the need of client according understand NPD and cost reduction in some cases

(n) Preparation of raw material, formulation testing, and packaging material specification with the help of PM team.

**Required skill**:
(a) End to end responsible for developing Cosmetic Products

(b) An eye for Colour & aesthetics

(c) Personal care production/Cosmetic industry experience is a mandate

(d) Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines

(e) Good MS office proficiency

(f) Strong interpersonal skills

**Functional Area**:

**Education**:
B.Tech or M.Tech in cosmetics, B.Pharm or M.Pharm, B.Sc. or M.Sc.,

**Key Skills**:
Research, Formulation chemist, Personal Care, Hair care, Skin care, Cosmetics, Development

**Salary**: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
