Education:

- A Master’s Degree in any of the fields related to urban planning & related laws, environmental sustainability, law, public policy, governance, and advocacy.
- Desirable: Degree in Architecture, Heritage Conservation, or Urban Planning.

Required skills:

- Full proficiency in English and working proficiency in Marathi is a must.
- Familiarity with the area/jurisdiction of Greater Mumbai is a must.

Required work experience:

- Desirable: 1-2 years of work experience in architecture related to urban planning & related laws, environmental sustainability, heritage conservation, road space management, street landscape, etc.

Job responsibilities:
1. Collate and analyze relevant data with supportive inputs from news reports, layouts, maps, etc in keeping with the issues related to urban planning, heritage conservation, road space management, street landscape & related civic issues within the jurisdiction of Greater Mumbai.

2. Work on projects undertaken, perform all project-related tasks assigned including research and prepare presentations related to the abovementioned areas.

3. Prepare concept notes, and funding proposals and submit progress reports for the organization’s projects to raise funds.

4. Assist, when needed, in the legal casework related to the organization’s ongoing litigations and advocacy campaigns.

5. Perform activities and tasks assigned from time to time and also network with the organization’s associates, NGOs, experts, and concerned government officials.

6. Attend Seminars, Conferences, that are relevant to the organization’s objectives and activities.

7. Coordinate meetings & events, record minutes of all the meetings, in-house as well as external, and follow up with events, correspondence, and news reports.

8. Update NAGAR’s website and keep the social media handle active by focusing on topical issues; create audience engagement.

9. Collaborate with other stakeholder organizations on the aforementioned issues.

It is a full-time job 5 days a week (i.e., from Monday to Friday) from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Gross salary: Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and area of expertise

**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
